Our brand was created by a fellow caregiver to empower healthcare professionals. Lyviee was inspired by nurse Marie Lyvie, a single mother who immigrated with her 4 kids to the United States and later thrived in the healthcare profession. While working 2 jobs, raising her kids single handedly, and learning English, she became a home health aide and later pursued her nursing degree. Realizing she had to restart her educational journey due to an unaccredited program, she still persevered even while undergoing several rounds of chemotherapy treatment during her clinical rotation, and while facing discrimination by professors and administrators. She became a registered nurse in 2013 and has been empowering her colleagues and patients ever since. As a daughter of Lyvie, she has not only inspired me to become a nurse but to persevere even through my hardest days. Without her, Lyviee would not have been created and I believe that her story and passion should be shared with all of us who take on this work. We know a career in healthcare is rewarding but not easy, so like Lyvie, we want you to feel empowered, unstoppable, and able to conquer anything when you wear our brand. We’re a black owned/woman owned business with a combined 28 years in the healthcare industry and we know how to overcome adversity. We’ve worked hard to create a scrub line that is functional, fashionable yet comfortable, to compliment all shapes using the highest quality of materials. On those hectic workdays that leave us drained and sometimes ready to give up, we want you to remember that there’s some Lyvie in all of us - no matter what life throws at you, you can thrive and do it in style!
